RankLens records the position of your listings in Etsy search, from your own browser, and keeps the history on your machine. It reports what it can observe — nothing more.
Every check appends a dated position. The sparkline shows the shape of your recent checks; the number is the latest recorded position. No smoothing, no projections.
Checks run one keyword at a time, at human speed, only when you press the button. You can cancel mid-run, and a failed check leaves the last reading intact.
Small chips over each search result: ad or organic, review velocity, price drops. Only facts read off the page you are already looking at — a chip appears when there is something real to show, and stays away when there is not.
The cheapest way to keep your data safe is never to collect it.
Install it and start tracking. There is no sign-up, no email required, no shop connection.
Keywords and positions live in your browser's local storage. We run no server that could hold them — and one click exports the lot as a CSV whenever you want it.
No revenue estimates, no sales guesses. Etsy does not publish those figures, so neither do we.
If you switch on the weekly digest, your email and rank summary are sent to deliver it — the only data the extension sends anywhere. (A Check now run loads Etsy search pages, like any browser tab does.)
One per line in Settings. A search result counts as yours when its ID appears there.
"speckled ceramic mug", not "mug". Track up to fifteen — they cost nothing to keep.
RankLens opens each search in the background, finds your listing, and records the position with the date.
Rank is recorded as seen from your browser — Etsy personalizes results, so treat positions as a trend, not an absolute. Any tool that tells you otherwise is guessing.
RankLens loads the same public search pages you can open yourself, one at a time, only when you ask. It does not use Etsy's API, does not log in as you, and does not scrape at machine speed.
Etsy keeps per-listing sales private; every "estimated revenue" number you've seen elsewhere is a model with large, unstated error bars. RankLens only shows what is observable on the page.
It is deleted with the extension. Keywords and history live only in your browser's extension storage, so removing RankLens removes them — there is no server copy to clean up.
Free while in beta. Later, deeper tracking (more keywords, more search pages, competitor movement) will be a paid tier — the local-first core stays free.
